customizing my myspace band page?

ok so my new band we had to get a myspace page, im totally new in it and have no idea how to go about it like CSS and all that things that I know what it is but no idea that I also know that some bands pay publishers do it for them, but it is idk there any way to do it myself and can someone explain not only what css is but how to use it where you get exct. as if you know and you could tell me much appreciated thanks
