I need some help please?

Well, I like this guy. I've been talking a lot with him at school. They make jokes and things like that both have senses of humor. So you've made 2 jokes about how I'm ugly, but does not mean that (I think?). Anyway, jokingly stopped talking to him and he tried to make me talk to him again. Then, once he did, he made another joke the next day. My friends say I would not do the jokes, if I really thought I was, and probably like me. I do not understand at all, but do you agree with them? Why he makes jokes about me being ugly? My other problem is that no I know how to go out with him outside school. There is no real mutual friends, I have your #, and he does not have a myspace / facebook. What should I do?
