How to block access to websites such as MySpace, Bebo, Hi5, Youtube at school or office?
This paper suggests solutions to help unlock access to restricted sites at universities, schools and offices.
Background: Blocking access to undesirable Web sites has been a common tactic, but the government of China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, is believed to extend censorship network than any other country in the world.
Most of the websites blocked or blacklisted in Saudi Arabia are about religion, women, sex and health. They even block access to websites that sell bathing suits or swimming. In China, websites that talk about sex, Tibet or democracy are blocked.
The social sites are often blocked including Google News, Typepad, eBay, Blogs, Friendster, MySpace, Bebo, Photobucket, Netlog, Youtube, Hi5, etc. ..
There are always legitimate reasons to circumvent Internet filters and unblock websites. The following tips show how to access all sites web at school, college, office or at home.
1: Use a URL redirection service like tinyurl.com or snipurl.com. These shipping services domain sometimes work as the address in the url box remain the redirect URL and do not change on the site prohibited.

3: To access blocked websites, type IP number instead of the URL in the address bar of your browser. However, if your blocking software maps the IP address of the web server (DNS reverse lookup) the website will be blocked for you.
4: Enter the address in Google or Yahoo search and then visit the copy cache of the page. To retrieve the page more quickly from Google's cache, click "Cached Text Only" while the browser the page is loaded from the cache.
5: You can access blocked or restricted websites by using Yahoo Babelfish or Google Translate language tools as a proxy server. Just invoke the Google Translate service with the same language pair like English to English. Assuming that Google is available in your school, you should be able to access any web site with this method
6: Anonymous Surfing – Browse the Internet using a proxy server free. A proxy server (or substitutes) is a normal computer that hides the identity of computers on your network from the Internet.
This means that only the proxy server address is visible to the world and not of the teams who use it to surf the Internet. Just visit any proxy server with web browser and enter a URL or address of the block web site.
